ADRIENNE WEST & JOHN HONDORP TRIO

Adrienne West - The lady from New York, Broadway musical singer and jazz performer, embraced the sound of the Hammond B-3 when touring through Europe with Wild Bill Davis.
She played the European Jazz scene over the last 15 years with Dado Moroni, Johnny Griffin, Buddy Tate, Clark Terry, Benny Bailey, Slide Hampton, Harry “Sweets” Edison, Kenny Burrell and Billy Cobham.

The last 8 years she has dedicated to teaching jazz vocalists at the Enschede Conservatory in Holland . And it is there that the collaboration with one of Holland ’s finest in Hammond Organ jazz was born. Being collegues over the years has brought Adrienne West and to a very close understanding of what jazz music is about and how people from very different backgrounds can influence each other intensely while making music.
John has always loved accompanying singers. He played with Judy Niemack, Jeanfrançois Prins, Bruno Castellucci, Matthias Bergmann, John Ruocco, Candy Dulfer, Nippy Noya and many more. He just finished recording with his trio with 2 of the finest young German musicians.

Adrienne has known the sound of “the cat” longer than most Europeans. She grew up with it! And she longs for a good old fight with this wild, untamed instrument.
